The Sant Pere Canyon is a beginner-friendly descent, perfect if it’s your first time or if you want to come with a large group of friends for a fun canyoning day. It is known for being very dynamic, with a fantastic initial natural slide and a highest rappel of 8 metres in a fairly narrow section.

Gurp Canyon

In the Gurp Canyon, you may well be left speechless by its beauty and crystal-clear waters, home to newts thanks to their purity. This well-formed limestone canyon has a good water flow, mainly due to its two tributaries. It features three long rappels in the first section and finishes with pools where you can jump and swim.

Infern Canyon

The Infern Canyon is the best-known descent in the area. It stands out for its spectacular walls, which form a corridor up to 100 metres high, and it flows directly into the heart of the Collegats Gorge, reaching the Noguera Pallaresa. Along the route, you’ll find a 20-metre free-hanging rappel into a cave where hardly any light reaches.

Viu de Llevata Canyon: canyoning in La Pobla de Segur for jumps… lots of jumps

The Viu de Llevata Canyon is pure fun — almost like a natural water park. It is full of huge, deep pools that you reach in every possible way: jumping, sliding or rappelling. It consists of two sections that can be done separately, although it is usually completed in full, and the rope is barely used.

Les Espones Canyon

The Les Espones Canyon is a clear example of a slate canyon, surrounded by overwhelming greenery and full of history. Nearby, fossil remains of ancient inhabitants of our planet — dinosaurs — have been found. Its waters come partly from snowmelt for much of the year, making the route quite fresh. It is also great fun, packed with slides, jumps, three fabulous rappels and different sections that can be combined.

Estaron Canyon

In the Estaron Canyon, nicknamed “the slip”, you’ll discover rappels from different heights and a very distinctive progression on slate rock. After rain and during snowmelt, it can carry a strong flow. The highest rappel is 35 metres, and the first section includes fun slides and small jumps.

Boixols Canyon

Another real gem is the Boixols Canyon. Formed in limestone, it creates huge natural pools that guarantee plenty of fun. The route starts with two slides, followed by numerous jumps, then reaches a beautiful 15-metre rappel into a narrow crack and finishes with an 8-metre jump beneath a medieval bridge.

Flamisell Canyon

The Flamisell Canyon is located at the gateway to Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, in Pallars Jussà. Its cold, powerful waters come from snowmelt. Carved into granite and surrounded by a striking alpine atmosphere, it offers adrenaline-filled slides, rappels and the occasional jump.

Riqüerna Canyon

Riqüerna Canyon runs parallel to and feeds into the Flamisell. It carries a strong flow during snowmelt periods and includes around four impressive drops where you’ll feel very small. The approach path crosses a large hazelnut forest before opening into a wide grassy alpine valley.

Roi Canyon

The Roi Canyon, located in Vall Fosca, takes its name from the reddish colour of its rock, rich in metallic minerals. You can access it on foot from the road, where the canyon ends and its final waterfall can be seen. Another option is to use a two-car shuttle, leaving one vehicle on the road and the other in the village of Castell-estaó. It offers spectacular and somewhat technical rappels.
