The Salt del Botanal via ferrata is located in the heart of Vall Ferrera, in the village of Alins, known for its popular Fallas celebrations.
The Salt del Botanal via ferrata runs along the stunning reddish cliffs facing Alins. It is named after the powerful waterfall that plunges down the ravine, visible from the village only on rainy days, and which the route follows.
Starting at the foot of the Noguera de Vallferrera river, the route gains considerable height until reaching the famous and enjoyable viewpoint of Salt del Botanal. Along the way, you will cross a fabulous 50-meter-long Nepali bridge and pass a roof section that gives it a K5 difficulty level, although this section can easily be avoided on the left.
The via ferrata has two escape routes, adding extra flexibility. You can access or skip different sections, making it ideal for children, families, or beginners in the world of via ferratas.
It is very well equipped and has rappel points in case you need to abort the mission. From the viewpoint, once finished, you will enjoy pleasant views of the village, the green valley, and the high mountains.
