The Pamano River canyon is located in Pallars Sobirà, near the villages of Llessui and Saurí, in the heart of the Vall d’Àssua. It is a very complete mountain canyon, surrounded by lush vegetation and with a distinctly aquatic character, making it one of the most interesting canyoning options in this part of the Lleida Pyrenees.
The Pamano descends through a humid and very green environment, deeply set between the mountains of the Vall d’Àssua. Along the route, we find numerous drops, downclimbs and several rappels, some of them up to around 30 metres high. Water is present throughout much of the descent and gives the canyon an especially spectacular character.
One of the main attractions of the Pamano canyon is precisely the combination of waterfalls, rappels, water and high-mountain scenery. The route is approximately 1.5 km long and has a vertical drop of around 190 metres.
This canyon is particularly recommended for people who have already done some canyoning before and are looking to take the next step. Although technically it is not one of the most extreme descents in the Pyrenees, its water flow, the length of some rappels and the conditions typical of a mountain canyon mean that some previous experience is advisable.
The flow of the Pamano can vary considerably depending on the time of year. In spring, and especially during the snowmelt period, it can carry a large volume of water, so conditions must always be assessed before starting the activity. In summer and early autumn, conditions are often very good for the descent, although this will always depend on rainfall and the river level at the time.
Enjoy a day of canyoning in the Vall d’Àssua, surrounded by waterfalls, rappels and spectacular high-mountain scenery. If you already have some canyoning experience and are ready for the next step, Pamano is a perfect choice.

Intermediate.
These times are approximate. The final duration will depend on the level and number of participants, the river flow and the conditions in the canyon. Additional time should also be allowed for the briefing and for putting on and removing the equipment.
The descent combines different types of obstacles and offers a very complete canyoning experience:
The water in the Pamano is usually cold, and much of the route remains shaded from the sun due to the dense vegetation and the orientation of the canyon. For this reason, a wetsuit is essential even during the warmer months.
You must bring sports shoes or trekking boots, swimwear and a towel. We also recommend bringing spare clothes and footwear to leave in the car.
€65 per person (full descent).
The canyon is located in the Vall d’Àssua, in Pallars Sobirà, between the villages of Llessui and Saurí.
The usual access is from Sort in the direction of Llessui. Depending on how the activity is organised, the descent can be done with one vehicle or with a two-car shuttle, which considerably reduces the approach on foot.
