The Roca Foradada via ferrata has both a horizontal and vertical route, taking advantage of the overhangs of the wall and using the spurs, which creates a very attractive aerial sensation in terms of views.
It contains several Nepalese bridges of more than 15 meters in length, installed taking advantage of the convergence of the same wall, through a dihedral or channel.
It also has a ladder to overcome a leaning area, when facing the vertical after coming out of the overhang.
It has two escape routes and two route options, one a little simpler and the other that gives it a K3 degree. The maximum altitude it reaches is 1040 meters.
The Roca Foradada via ferrata, in La Pobla de Segur, has the hermitage of Sant Miquel del Puig, a Romanesque church, and the ruins of the ancient town of La Pobla de Segur at its feet. Therefore, it is not only a magnificent via ferrata, but also a piece of the history of our town. By climbing it, it transports you to visit this beautiful natural monument, the emblem of La Pobla de Segur.
It provides access to the Cresta de Gelat, which is the old road to the currently abandoned town of Montsor, crowning the Queralt and Collegats Protected Natural Area, delimited by the convergence of the Flamisell and Noguera Pallaresa rivers.
From the via ferrata, you have magnificent views of the Sant Antoni reservoir, where the aforementioned rivers flow. But they are not the only views, you also see a large part of the Boumort National Hunting Reserve and the Carreu valley, giving rise to the mountain of Sant Corneli and the Roca de Pessonada.
The via ferrata of La Pobla de Segur has a unique environment for the practice of outdoor sports, as it is located in the heart of the canyoning capital of Catalonia, where you can choose from more than 25 canyons. This via ferrata will be the second in Pallars Jussà, we believe it will not be the last. But the via ferrata of La Pobla de Segur is not to be missed, come and get to know it.
