The Viu de Llevata canyon is dynamic, adrenaline-filled, and fun thanks to its huge jumps and limestone rock slides, as well as its deep pools, all surrounded by an alpine setting with views of the highest peaks of the Pyrenees.
We consider this a technical canyon because it requires previous experience with jumps of different heights (which are also rappelable). It depends on the person and their abilities, but if you’re new to mountain activities, we recommend starting with an easier canyon. While it’s not highly technical, it does require a minimum level of fitness due to its length. Water flow conditions may also vary, so it’s important to consult your guide beforehand.
The Viu de Llevata canyon is located in the Pallars area, Lleida, in the small and charming village of Viu de Llevata, perched on a mountain pass. It’s one of the best-known canyons in Alta Ribagorça.
