Estaron Canyon

Estaron Canyon, known as “Estaron Slip,” is composed of slate rock. It is one of the best canyons in Pallars Sobirà. It is one of the most technical canyons in the Alto Pallars area due to its long rappels and slippery ground.
If you like rappelling and heights, this could be your canyon; it has numerous rappels of different heights, reaching its highest rappel of 35 meters.
Additionally, it features fun slides, some jumps, and downclimbs. It is another clear example of an alpine canyon. Its surroundings and approach are full of history and beauty.
Estaron Canyon is located near the small village of Escaló, belonging to the municipality of La Guingueta d’Àneu, Lleida.
The Estaron Canyon is divided into two parts. The first, Upper Estaron, is easier and very beautiful. It is a perfect option for beginners. The second part, Lower Estaron, is more technical, more abrupt, and very slippery. Although it is possible to do the full Estaron route, combining all its rappels, it offers a great day of canyoning.
