The Flamisell Canyon originates from the waters of the high peaks of the Aigüestortes National Park. It is located in the town of Cabdella, belonging to Vall Fosca, and offers a route with a significant water flow creating excellent formations for canyoning. This flow guarantees the opportunity to perform jumps, slides, and rappels into huge and deep plunge pools with some notable water movement.
It is a short but intense, fun, refreshing, very beautiful, aquatic, and quite slippery canyon. It features several slides, five rappels (ranging from 8 to 19 meters), and several jumps.
The descent starts by walking under the bridge that crosses the river. The first section of the canyon runs along the open river. The ground is very slippery, so you must be very careful while progressing along the riverbed.
Recently, the Flamisell Canyon has been gaining popularity among adventure companies. Minimal physical preparation is required both for the descent and for the approach hike with elevation changes.
The perfect season to do the Flamisell Canyon descent is from June to October.
