The Twelve Waterfalls of Liri<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Twelve Waterfalls of Liri Canyon<\/a> is located in the village of Liri, only around 25 minutes from El Pont de Suert. It is famous for its impressive vertical waterfalls and includes a total of 12 abseils of up to 25 metres. A two-car shuttle is highly recommended if you want to complete the full canyon. If you only descend the first seven waterfalls, you can leave the vehicle at the Liri viewpoint car park.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aig\u00fceta d’Eriste, in Eriste<\/span><\/h3>\n

Known as the beast of the valley, Aig\u00fceta d’Eriste is an advanced-level canyon that can normally only be descended towards the end of summer, when the water level is lower. It is divided into several sections, although the fourth and final section is the most popular. The approach is relatively straightforward and follows an ascending trail along the river’s orographic right bank. When you reach the old stone bridge, you will find the entrance to the canyon. Its famous 25-metre natural slide and powerful water flow make this a route for experienced canyoners only.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aig\u00fceta de Barbaruens, in Barbaruens<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Aig\u00fceta de Barbaruens Canyon<\/a>, located below the village of Barbaruens, is famous for its long natural slides, high jumps and highly aquatic character. If you have already been canyoning several times, it is an excellent choice. The activity normally lasts between four and five hours. It is advisable to book with a company that has a 4×4 vehicle, as this can significantly shorten the approach on foot.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viu de Llevata<\/span><\/h3>\n

Viu de Llevata is the village you need to visit if you want to descend the Viu de Llevata Canyon<\/a>. It is an intermediate-level route with large pools, natural slides and numerous jumps, offering around four hours of activity. It is one of the best options for discovering canyoning in La Ribagorza and building confidence before moving on to more demanding descents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you have completed Viu de Llevata, you can progress to Barbaruens and, if your experience develops well, perhaps eventually tackle Aig\u00fceta d’Eriste. This is a sensible progression for enjoying the sport responsibly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Erta Canyon is a wild descent that joins Viu de Llevata at its outlet. It is quite long and includes several intermediate walking sections, which can make the route feel demanding. However, its spectacular passages between two large limestone mountains make it well worth the effort. It is a canyon that every enthusiast should complete at least once, and a two-car shuttle is required.<\/span><\/p>\n
